COVID-19 UPDATE (June, 2020): Our staff and attorneys continue to work remotely as much as possible; however, we do have people in the office during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00) and you may call us at 802-879-6304 to speak with our receptionist. We are allowing some in-person meetings in our office, with an appointment, and only after a health verification and with using facial coverings, hand sanitizer and proper social distancing. COVID-19 NOTICE (March, 2020): Because of COVID-19 most of our staff and attorneys are working from home and will have remote access to files, email and voicemail. Regarding real estate transactions, we feel that it is essential to minimize unnecessary person-to-person contact. For purchase transactions we will only be allowing people into the office who have to sign the closing documents.
Our policy on refinance transactions is to provide our clients, at no cost, with a Limited Power Of Attorney (POA) that will allow one of our attorneys to sign all the closing documents. We will be setting up a system whereby someone will meet the client in the parking lot to notarize signature(s) on the POA. There will be no need to come into our building. We will also call the client when the loan documents are being signed and explain each document.
